The history of Roe Park
Step back in time
Roe Park’s history dates all the way back to AD 575 when the High King of Ireland held the historic Convention of Drumceatt on Mullagh Hill. In the 1850s, the Ritter family brought innovation to the estate, making Limavady the first town in Ireland with hydroelectric power. The house later served as an old people's home until it was transformed into the much-loved hotel it is today in 1995.
